Two more players sign on for another season

We are pleased to confirm that defenders Jamie Dunn and Luke Taylor will be staying at Hillheads for the forthcoming season.

Jamie Dunn arrived at Hillheads last summer from Ryton & Crawcrook Albion and soon established himself as a powerful defender who could also score crucial goals, netting six times in 15 appearances before the season was curtailed. Joint managers Derek Forrest and Tony Fawcett were delighted to keep Jamie at the club. “Jamie has had a great first season at Whitley and fast became a fans favourite. He is an important player to us and we’re thrilled to have him back on board.”

Luke Taylor signed for Whitley Bay in the summer of 2018 as a teenager and the tall centre back became a regular in the side the following season. Still just 21 years old, he has already made 63 appearances for the Bay. Management duo Derek Forrest and Tony Fawcett have been impressed with his progress. “Luke was given a challenge when we first arrived and rolled his sleeves up and rose to it. He has outstanding qualities and we’re excited to watch him continue his development with us next season.”
