“I’m disappointed, really disappointed, it was a pretty close encounter. The game opened up a little but after going in 0-0 at half time we knew we had to get a bit closer to them, they’d been more physical than us; we had to penetrate them a little bit more. So that was the message but we didn’t really come out and do that, we did in patches, but I still think they were getting a lot of the second balls and as the game opened up it was silly mistakes really that saw them score the two goals.
“The injury (to Angelos) just upset the balance, but then it’s about players coming in and doing what they need to do. We’ve got a big enough squad here and it was about the players coming in. We had chances but couldn’t do what we needed to do in the final third.”

We’ve got a squad of players and it gives someone else the opportunity to come in and stake their claims. We need to be winning games and that hasn’t happened today.”
James Proctor had an impressive game and the manager was quick to acknowledge this. “James (Proctor) is a great lad, wears his heart on his sleeve and runs and runs and runs. He causes problems, he’s still young, still got to learn a lot but at the minute we’re chuffed to bits with him.”
