It is with great sadness that we learned last night of the tragic death of Robbie Livermore.
Robbie played for Whitley Bay during some of the club’s greatest years. He was an integral member of the club’s first FA Vase winning squad in 2001/02 and was also a regular member of the Northern League championship winning side in 2006/07. At a later stage in his career he was also involved in coaching the Reserves.
Initially a winger, Robbie later switched to midfield and in a Bay career of almost 200 games, he scored 26 goals.
Robbie also played for neighbours North Shields and was hugely popular, on and off the pitch, at both clubs. Robbie also had a spell playing for Percy main Amateurs.
Whitley Bay Football Club send deepest sympathies to Robbie’s family at this extremely sad time.
