Marc Nash was happy with the performance of his players in the 2-1 victory at Washington but felt the game was marred by some controversial decisions by the match officials. “A good three points and another away win so everyone is happy with the outcome of the game in terms of the result. We altered the shape to try and give us some variation in our attack so that meant Liam Brooks coming back into the side and he’s done very well with his goal. Although I felt we coasted at times, the result was never really in danger despite some odd decisions by the referee in the last ten minutes. We are frustrated with Josh’s sending off which means we lose him for three matches for a challenge that was no more than a yellow card. The penalty award was also a nonsense and it’s not good having a debate about the officials when in truth it was an easy game to manage. On the plus side we rested Callum, Matty and Kyle whilst Alex also got back on the pitch to give us some great options for Dunston on Saturday.”
