The awards were shared around with six players picking up trophies at the Club’s annual Presentation Night at Hillheads yesterday. Club captain Chris McDonald was named Player of the Year and is pictured receiving his award from Commercial Director Ann Barkas. The Golden Boot award for the leading scorer was won by Callum Patton, while Callum Anderson was voted Players’ Player of the Year. Supporters Club Player of the Year was goalkeeper Tom Flynn and Kyle Patton was voted Young Player of the Year while the Goal of the Season went to Tom Gilbey for his spectacular equaliser at Hillheads against Seaham Red Star.
Chairman Paul McIlduff praised the management team of Marc Nash, Anthony Woodhouse and Chris Moore for turning the fortunes of the club around in the second half of the season and thanked the numerous volunteers who work tirelessly and often unnoticed for the benefit of the club. Adam Taylor-Christensen was thanked for raising the profile of the club through social media and there was a special mention for the fans who have once again given tremendous support throughout the season.
Ahead of the presentations, there was a very informative Fans Forum with the Management team and Thibault Charmey answering questions from supporters. See post on the forum for more details.
